At my Personal Runit presentation at GoLUG four weeks ago I mentioned
that the web page on which the presentation was based wasn't complete
yet, but soon will be. As of yesterday it's complete. You can see it at

In case you weren't there, this web page details how a normal user can
use the daemon supervisor part of runit to supervise his or her
personal daemons. This personal use of the supervisor portion of runit
is completely init system agnostic: You can use it on any Linux, Unix
or BSD operating system regardless of the init system used to bring up
the system as a whole.
